After washing my bed sheets this week I realized that they were just way to wrinkled to put back on my bed. There are some permanent wrinkles that get worse with every wash. So, I pulled out my iron and ironing board and decided to tackle the wrinkles
immediately.
As I was ironing my sheets my thoughts went back to years ago. When my 3 kids were all under the age of 4, a friend told me that she washes her bed sheets weekly AND irons them with Lavender Water! I was floored. I said I would NEVER iron my sheets. At that time I couldn't even wash my sheets
regularly, let alone find time to iron them. Shoot I was lucky to get a shower every other day. Ironing sheets was just not even on the "To Do List".
But yet here I was ironing my sheets. I was giggling at myself and thinking about all the other things that I swore I would never do. I wonder if God just chuckles at me when I say that! As with almost everything I say I will never do, I usually end up doing it and completely enjoying it. I swore I would never breastfeed my babies and God softened my heart and it was such an amazing experience! I swore I would never
homeschool my children and yet I find my self teaching them daily. It is truly the most precious time I have with my boys.
I am sure the "I Will Never" list could go on and on but the beauty is that God is so good and so patient with me when I am so stubborned.
As for my sheets, it was dreamy to climb into them that night! And what I wouldn't give for some Vanilla Water to put in my iron!
